Sustaining Quality

The goal of Six Sigma is to achieve zero defects.  Six Sigma is 3.4 defects per million opportunities.  We use many Six Sigma tools including fishbone diagrams and Pareto charts for problem analysis and maintaining high quality yields.  Six Sigma gives us the ability, using all of the tools it provides, to approach problems statistically and to gather the correct information to solve problems.  Six Sigma forces us to be proactive instead of reactive.  Using these tools, we monitor our processes, collect and then analyze data in order to implement actions that maintain process control.
