Environmental Stewardship

Altek has systems in place to comply with environmental and other regulations.  To support RoHS compliance, Altek first “scrubs” the customers’ bill of material to ensure that all of the components are compliant with the directive.  Our purchase orders include a statement that RoHS compliant parts must be provided, and our incoming inspectors are trained to verify compliance before parts are transferred to the stock room.  During production, our operators follow procedures for “scrubbing” the line to ensure they only have access to RoHS compliant solders, pastes, and RoHS-designated tools.  The operators complete and sign a checklist, confirming their awareness of the RoHS requirement, and taking ownership of their work.   Signs are posted to alert other manufacturing employees that ‘RoHS is in Process’.   For more information, please contact us at 860-482-7626.
